In August of this year, we received an inquiry from a client in the United Arab Emirates who needed equipment capable of machining medical stainless steel drill bits with a diameter of 2 mm, with a minimum diameter requirement of just 1.5 mm. Due to the challenges associated with machining stainless steel, and the client's additional request for an automatic loading and unloading system, we recommended Ants Machine's popular tool grinding machine model TG-680, paired with a Nachi robotic arm. This combination can stably achieve automatic loading and unloading as well as precision machining for workpieces with diameters ranging from 1 to 8 mm. To address the characteristics of stainless steel, the equipment is specially configured with a 15,000 RPM high-speed electric spindle and specialized grinding wheels to ensure machining efficiency and tool longevity. The TG-680 is a high-precision tool grinding machine specifically designed for precision grinding of small-sized milling cutters, drill bits, and formed tools. The machine features natural marble components and a fully enclosed structure, equipped with a direct-drive variable-frequency electric spindle and supports quick positioning of multiple grinding wheel sets, balancing high rigidity and process flexibility. The workpiece spindle utilizes direct drive (DD) technology and integrates a W20 tool holder and collet for automatic clamping. It is equipped with a Syntec six-axis linkage system, Yaskawa servo units, a Renishaw probe, HIWIN linear guides, and THK ball screws, ensuring exceptional dynamic accuracy and stability. Operational configurations include a cantilever control panel, electronic handwheel, cooling system, and automatic lubrication, delivering both efficient production and convenient maintenance.
